Shifu Donna Oliver Master Instructor M.Q.T. is teaching a two day
non-residential workshop on 15th & 16th June 2019 at:

St Joseph’s Community Centre, Shibdon Road, Blaydon, Tyne & Wear, NE21 5AE.

This workshop will be of interest to anyone who practises Yang style Tai Chi Chuan and is of particular interest to those who practise Rose Li Tai Chi Chuan. The workshop is a unique opportunity for you (whatever your skill level) to polish your Taijiquan form and deepen your understanding of its underlying dynamics and energetics under the personal guidance of Shifu Donna Oliver. Donna has trained in Chinese internal martial arts and Qigong since 1988, predominantly with Shifu Andy James, at the Tai Chi and Meditation Centre in Toronto, where she continues to teach, study and oversee the organization’s direction. She has consistently won “Gold” in competitions including the Pan Am Games and is a Medical Qigong Therapist and certified instructor of the International Institute of Medical Qigong (Canadian branch).

The day will include detailed Taijiquan form review (as taught at the Tai Chi & Meditation Centre), static and dynamic structure, partner exercises, push hands and more. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain an insight into the integrated mind-body practice that is Tai Chi.

Thank you Dominic for making such a wonderful difference to my life with Tai Chi.

Since starting your classes a year ago, I could feel a change to my physical and mental well being within a couple of months. The gentle, relaxing exercises were perfect for me and being in a class with other people of varying ages and levels of Tai Chi I really enjoyed the atmosphere and looked forward to coming to your classes each week.

I loved being able to gain confidence in my ability and improve my health at the same time. It really helped with the lower body and leg strength but also it helped with my stress levels. A big plus was losing the weight I had put on after having suffered from a prolapsed disc which left me feeling I would never regain my full strength or be pain free. Tai Chi has changed so much for me. I now feel more grounded and confident and, thankfully no longer suffer from the pain I had for over a year.

I look forward to returning in 2017 for the start of a new year and the Master Class in March with Sufi Andy James. A big step up from being a beginner only a year ago.

Thank you Dominic,

Ann Hawick
